Karen Sargent’s own experience of cancer gave her a personal understanding of how a diagnosis can affect both physical and emotional wellbeing. Inspired by her journey, she chose to train in specialist oncology massage, turning her experience into an opportunity to offer compassionate, hands-on support to others affected by cancer.
Now qualified in oncology massage, Karen also works within a cancer support centre. She provides massage therapy to people at different stages, including those undergoing treatment and those in recovery.
Karen recognises that no two cancer journeys are the same. A holistic approach is taken with care and consideration for everyone. She aims to enhance relaxation, comfort, mood and overall wellbeing through massage therapy.
This is subject to medical clearance, to ensure massage is suitable and appropriate. Karen will speak to you in confidence and forward a consent form to obtain GP and/or consultant approval, prior to commencing treatment.
