Kerri is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the founder of Little Lighthouse Therapy. She provides counselling for children and young people aged 4–18, as well as support for parents and carers.

Working from an integrative framework, Kerri draws on creative, play-based, and talking therapies to meet each child’s individual needs. Her practice is informed by attachment theory, child development research, and trauma-aware principles.

Kerri has experience supporting neurodivergent children and young people, including those with Autism, ADHD, Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), and Dyslexia. She works in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework, offering a safe, confidential, and supportive space for children and families at The Clinic at Borde Hill.

Child and Young Person Sessions

Counselling sessions for children and young people last 50 minutes and provide a calm, supportive space to explore feelings, build confidence, and develop a stronger sense of self. Kerri supports children and young people experiencing:

  • Anxiety and persistent worry
  • Low self-esteem or lack of confidence
  • Emotional overwhelm, outbursts, or shutdowns
  • Family separation, divorce, or transitions
  • Bereavement, grief, or serious illness
  • Friendship struggles and social difficulties
  • Identity and belonging concerns
  • Early trauma or disrupted attachment
  • Autism, ADHD, and other neurodivergent experiences

Parent and Carer Support Sessions

These sessions offer a calm, confidential space to reflect on your child’s emotional world, explore the challenges you face, and consider the hopes you hold for your relationship together. Using a compassionate, attachment-informed approach, we look at your experiences, family dynamics, and ways to support your child’s needs.
