Post-Christmas Winter Blues? Avoid Stress With This 3-Step Guide

There is no such thing as a medical diagnosis of stress!!! But that doesn’t mean you’re not feeling it, does it?

So first, let’s take a moment to think about you
Work out what you’re feeling. Are you burnt out? Are you anxious and a worrier? Are you low in mood?

All of these things can mean “stress” to different people. Working out what’s going on with your body and mind… what is making you feel tired, lacking energy… why haven’t you got any “Va Va Voom”, is very important.

Then think about traffic lights

  • RED MEANS STOP!
Get off the treadmill and take a deep breath. In fact, take several deep breaths… learning to breathe properly is a fantastic way of calming the mind.
  • AMBER PREPARE
Do your homework! Write down how you feel. Create a life balance wheel and make it clear to yourself where you need to make changes. See a professional – we don’t bite and we CAN help.
  • GREEN GO
Get outside and go walking. Exercise is well known for making you feel better as well as getting you fitter. Get those endorphins or your happy hormones up and running.

And Remember
We all feel stressed at some point in our lives. We all worry and we all feel overwhelmed at times. If those feelings don’t go away then seeking help from a professional can be the first step in helping to keep your mind healthy and your well-being in tiptop shape.
